“Best Headshot I’ve Seen”, Thanks to Motive

December 22nd, 2008

[Posted by the Motive Retouching Team] A client of ours recently received a stunning compliment from her headshot printer: her headshot was the “best he’d seen.” We at Motive are happy to take credit for it, as far as the retouching goes. But what else makes this stand out?

Take a look at the “before” and “after.” With the finished product, our client’s eyes draw you in immediately. The tone of the image “pops,” in that her skin and her eyes jump off the page without looking fake (such as with colored contacts). Moreover, the retouching we performed on her skin was subtle. She’s still in the same age range, but now she looks as she would on her best day. As for the hair, she dyed it shortly after getting her headshots done and didn’t want to shell out for new pics. But you don’t want to embarrass yourself by sending casting directors one picture, then looking completely different. We solved this problem for her and managed to match her hair color perfectly while keeping the hair looking completely natural.

This is just one sample of what Motive Retouching can do for you. Remember: look like a pro, then get paid like one.
